FacePrima is engineered from the ground up as an offline-first macOS application. All video frames from your webcam, facial landmark tracking points, and AI caricature transformations are processed entirely in local memory on your Mac. At no point is any video feed, photo, or biometric information sent to external servers or stored in the cloud.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
We believe the best way to safeguard user data is not to collect it in the first place:
- Biometric Data: We do not create, store, or transmit facial recognition profiles, biometric hashes, or identity templates. Facial landmark detection runs exclusively in real-time RAM to deform meshes and is immediately discarded.
- Webcam Streams & Images: Your video stream is rendered directly to your screen and is never transmitted over the internet.
- Personal Identifiers: We do not require you to create an account, log in with an email, or provide any personal details to use FacePrima.
- Cloud Synchronization: There is no cloud backend associated with your caricature creations. Everything lives exclusively on your local disk.
2. Camera Permissions & Hardware Access
FacePrima requires camera access strictly to capture your live video feed so that cartoon filters and caricature distortions can be rendered on your screen.
In accordance with Apple macOS privacy standards, camera access is only granted upon your explicit approval via the system dialog. You may modify or revoke camera permissions at any time through System Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera.
3. Local Storage & Exported Media
When you capture a snapshot or record a video in FacePrima, the resulting file (PNG, MP4, ProRes, etc.) is written directly to your local macOS filesystem (such as your Downloads, Movies, or Photos directory). You hold full ownership of your media files, and we have no access to them.
4. Third-Party Tracking & Telemetry
FacePrima does not integrate third-party advertising SDKs, behavioral tracking, or analytics frameworks.
If you choose to submit feedback or inquiry through our website's contact form, your name, email, and message are transmitted securely and used solely to reply to your inquiry. We will never sell or share your contact information with third parties.
5. Apple Mac App Store & Purchases
If you purchase FacePrima or unlock premium features through the Mac App Store, transactions are handled directly and securely by Apple Inc. under Apple's App Store Privacy Policy. We do not receive or process your payment details, billing address, or credit card numbers.
